Nosie rock icons The Jesus Lizard will tour Australia for the first time in decades later this year, with the legendary band locking in three shows along the east coast for this October.
The news comes just months after the release of Rack, the band’s first album in 26 years, which proved they’ve lost none of that intense brutality that has been their trademark since they emerged in the late-1980s.
Fans were cruelly denied the chance to see the band in 2013 when they had to withdraw from their slot at the All Tomorrow’s Parties festival and associated sideshows. At the time they said they hoped to be back soon, and while it took 12 years, we’re pleased it’s finally on the books.
Melbourne cult favourites The Nation Blue will support at all shows.
Wednesday 15 October – The Croxton, Melbourne
Friday 17 October – Liberty Hall, Sydney
Sunday 19 October – Crowbar, Brisbane
