Tony Sly, singer and chief songwriter for veteran California pop punk band No Use For a Name, has passed away at age 41. His cause of death has yet to be released. Fat Wreck Chords broke the news for many, with a message on their site.

Baltimore, Maryland’s Mindset have finished recording for their first proper full length, to be released via React! Records and entitled Leave No Doubt.  The LP was recorded at Developing Nations with Kevin Bernsten (Pulling Teeth, Pianos Become The Teeth, Praise). Check out a teaser video for the title track.

Sydney band, RESTRAINT will be reuniting to play this year's RATFEST at the Coogee Bay Hotel on August 31st. The lineup for Restraint will include original members, Pete Abordi on vocals, Pete Bursky on guitar, Ricky Taylor on bass and Mick "Tough Sticks" Anderson of Last Nerve/ Irrelevant fame on drums.

Cleveland’s mighty Ringworm will be releasing their first ever live album, entitled Stigmatas In The Flesh, this August via A389 Recordings.  The album was recorded at the A389 showcase held in January 2010.  Ringworm’s song “The Ninth Circle” from the album can be streamed online.

"State of Grace' was simply inspired by an infectious epidemic of health problems caused from the constant consumption of genetically modified food and non-organic farming continued to run on chemicals or additives," singer Chuck Ragan.
