Melbourne band COMBAT ROCK have announced the upcoming release of their debut 10 track 7 inch out in April through UGL Media.

The band features Moose of Hacker / The Weight / Manhunt / Starvation on vocals, fronting a traditional styled straight up hardcore band.

From the band...

"I dunno what compelled me to want to do this record but I think it's a response to the fact that so much of our daily life has had the rough edges, the thorny and tricky parts smoothed over or removed entirely (and I recognise the irony of using this app to point that out). For me personally straight edge is the antithesis of that, wanting to feel every minute of life as acutely as possible, for better or worse. I think the magic of hardcore is that the barrier between an idea and conveying it is basically non-existent. I wanted to capture that on this record, so hopefully that shines through."
