Sydney's VIGILANTE have announced they are breaking up and will play a final show alongside The Rival Mob next month.

Vigilante formed in 2010 and released a demo and the Quality Of Life LP through Resist Records and SFU Records.

The band underwent numerous lineup changes during their time though has always centred around Jake (Bad Blood), Dave (Last Nerve) and Adam (Ill Brigade). The departure of original bassplayer Jimmy (Deadwalk!), saw guitarist Dean (Ill Brigade) shift to bass and then Felipe (Persist) join on second guitar. From there Felipe left to travel and Luke (Mark My Words) joined, while Adam (Boneless) has also filled in occasionally.

Vigilante have always been strong supporters of The Station homeless shelter, donating merch and record sales to the charity.

The band toured the East Coast with Youth Of Today in 2013.

From The band....

"This is realistically the last time we will probably play? We can't think of a better ending than with a line up like this!"

From guitarist Lead Break Jake....

"From a very young age I've always had the feeling inside to question social normality and to provoke thoughts against the grain. I just don't agree with what is spoon fed to us as a society. Never have, never will. Hardcore punk has been the outlet for me to express this.

Vigilante has been a physical expression of this for some time now, which I have shared with my closest friends. We are all from this ethos and will never change, but the time has come to call it a day with the band that is Vigilante. Our last show is on Dec 10th with the Rival Mob from Boston at the Factory Theatre in Marrickville. Come along and help us fight for the underground one last time."

Keep an eye out for an exit interview with singer Dave.
