DEFEATER have announced that guitarist Jay Maas is leaving the band. A replacement has as of yet not been named.

Maas has established himself as the go to producer for hardcore bands with the establishment of Getaway Studios having recent;y recorded Miles Away's "Tide" LP.

"Over the weekend it was decided to move forward as a band without the participation of Jay Maas due to personal and creative differences. All scheduled Defeater shows and tours will go on as planned and we wish Jay luck in his future endeavors. Thank you."

Defeater recently released new album "Abandoned" through Epitaph a few months ago.
