DECLARATION – "WE RIFF AGAIN TOUR" 2014
Following a hectic 2013 which saw Melbourne hardcore band Declaration play shows all over Australia, 2014 has been the complete opposite. Beginning in January, DECLARATION, set out on a mission to write and recorded a debut album, but in order for the record to be as good as humanly possible, the band felt it necessary to take the tough stance to stop playing live shows and solely focus on the recorded work. This was a completely foreign and unfamiliar approach, as DECLARATION is a band that has gigged consistently all over the continent since their inception in late 2010. The decision to hold off on playing shows, despite being a tough call, seems to have paid off, the results speak for themselves, and over the coming months release plans will be unveiled.
Fast forward 9 months, the album is in the can, the band has a new member (Evan McLellan of the bands Cold Ground & At War With Gods has joined on bass), and it’s high time to get this thing back on track. This November/December will see Declaration hit the road and return to some favourite places for the WE RIFF AGAIN Tour. A short mini tour hitting, taking in Sydney, Hobart, Launceston, Frankston a hometown show in Melbourne, and for the very first time, Newcastle. Armed with an arsenal of new songs and almost an entire year of pent up rage, Declaration are ready to explode back on to the hardcore scene, in a big way. WE RIFF AGAIN!
