Split LP between two Sydney bands that are heavily influenced by Japanese Hardcore, a genre I know nothing about. Deathcage is made up of former members of Headless Horseman & Redstain & they contribute 3 songs to this split. The band plays a more sped up 80's thrash metal influenced style with elements of Iron Maiden, especially in terms of guitar solos with final song "Social Fucker" featuring a blazing solo. Recording quality lets them down a touch. Unknown To God feature former members of Subversion, Omnicide and Noisam and they weigh in with four tracks of angry yet melodic punk that at times reminds me a bit of From Ashes Rise. In all a real cool split of 2 contrasting styles.
